Financial Manager

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Financial Manager who will oversee all accounting, financial reporting, and control functions at Liyatech Solutions. The role will ensure accurate financial statements, effective cash flow management, and strong financial planning to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in creditors and debtors management, payroll, budgeting, monthly reporting, profit and loss analysis, and preparation of management accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Operations & Controls — Manage creditors and debtors to optimise cash flow and ensure accurate records; oversee payroll, statutory compliance, and benefits administration; maintain strong internal controls and financial accuracy
  • Financial Planning & Analysis — Lead budgeting and forecasting aligned to strategy; prepare monthly management accounts and P&L analysis; support margin improvement through financial insights
  • Financial Reporting — Prepare monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and cash flow reports; deliver KPI dashboards and management reports; ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Continuous Improvement — Improve financial processes for efficiency and accuracy; drive automation and process improvements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 5+ years' experience in a Financial Management or Senior Accountant role
  • Strong experience in AP, AR, payroll, budgeting, and month-end close
  • Proficient in ERP systems (Sage) and advanced Excel
  • Knowledge of tax compliance, VAT/GST, statutory reporting, and payroll regulations
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Cross-functional team player with a proactive, results-driven approach
